# Microsoft Integrates OpenAI’s GPT-5 Across 365, Copilot, GitHub, and Azure

Microsoft has officially rolled out **OpenAI’s GPT-5**, its most advanced AI model yet, into consumer, enterprise, and developer platforms. Trained on **Azure** and equipped with cutting-edge reasoning capabilities, GPT-5 promises smarter, faster, and more context-aware performance across Microsoft’s ecosystem.

**Key Highlights:**

- **Microsoft 365 Copilot:** Enhanced complex reasoning, better long-form conversation handling, and improved context awareness. Enterprise users can now analyze emails, documents, and files more efficiently.
- **Microsoft Copilot:** Free access to GPT-5 via web, Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. The new *Smart Mode* delivers optimal solutions for creative, research, and everyday tasks.
- **GitHub Copilot & Visual Studio Code:** Developers gain access to GPT-5 for advanced coding, testing, and deployment, including long-running agentic tasks and AI-powered agent creation through Azure AI Foundry integration.
- **Azure AI Foundry:** All GPT-5 models available with an intelligent model router that selects the best AI for each task, ensuring efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- **AI Safety:** Microsoft’s AI Red Team confirms GPT-5 has one of the strongest safety profiles yet, resisting threats like malware generation and fraud automation.

The GPT-5 update is available **starting today**, enabling users worldwide to experience the next level of AI productivity, creativity, and coding capability across Microsoft platforms.
