GoPro announced its latest flagship action camera, the Hero 12 Black. It looks a lot like its predecessor, which is fine since it’s only a refinement thus resulting in a much better device.

The new GoPro Hero 12 Black has a much-improved battery life that can last two times better than the Hero 11 Black. You can now record 5.3K60 videos for up to 70 minutes, versus the old 35 minutes. The best part is, that it uses a similar 1720mAh battery capacity, which means that the device itself is now more efficient.

GoPro also threw in Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to finally have better audio on your action videos by using wireless earphones. Or, you can buy the Media Mod to have a 3.5mm audio mic input. There are still 3 built-in mics here.

The company has also introduced the new Max Lens Mode 2.0, which offers an “industry-leading” 177-degree field-of-view in 4K60. That’s obviously more impressive than the old mod that only has 156 degrees.

Still, it takes photos with a max resolution of 27.13-megapixel (5568 x 4872), up to 5.3K30 video recording, 4K at 240fps for slow-mo, different time-lapse modes, and waterproof by up to 10M (60M with a special case).

It ispowered by a GP2 sensor, a 1/1.9-inch CMOS sensor, and of course, GoPro’s award-winning HperSmooth 6.0 video stabilization.

The new GoPro Hero 12 Black has a price of Php24,990 in the Philippines. It will be available for pre-order on authorized resellers from September 7 to 13 with a free GoPro Camping Cup and GoPro Cap.
