Design and Build
As we always say, whether a smartphone looks good or not is a subjective matter. However, we gotta hand the win to the vivo V27 5G on this one based on a couple of technicalities.

For starters, it has vivo’s Photochromic 2.0 technology. It’s a cool party trick that allows the Emerald Green variant to change in hue when hit by sunlight or UV light. It also has a curved screen, which makes it feel extra premium than the Nova 11’s flat display.
Display and Audio
Both the Nova 11 and V27 5G have similar screen sizes. They are both 6.78-inch AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate.

However, the Huawei device gets to win this round thanks to its stereo speaker setup — which is surprisingly missing on the vivo V27 5G, despite the price tag.

Hardware and Performance
An easy win for the vivo V27 5G. Why? Well, because the Nova 11, just like other Huawei smartphones, doesn’t have 5G connectivity — a big red flag on a premium midrange phone in 2023.

More than 5G, the Dimensity 7200 chipset on the vivo phone is just more powerful than the Snapdragon 778G of the Nova 11. It also comes with more RAM capacity at 12GB, versus 8GB of the Nova 11, for a better multitasking experience.
Another thing to consider is Huawei’s lack of official Google Mobile Services support, which could be important if you frequently use Google’s apps.
Cameras
Another clear win for the vivo V27 5G. As you can see, it has a fancier 50-megapixel main camera OIS, and even a tertiary rear lens with micro capabilities.

Of course, let’s not forget about the ring LED flash paired with what the company calls the Aura Portrait System which lets you take better portraits of human subjects, no matter the lighting condition.

Battery and Charging
It’s a close fight, but the V27 5G still managed to pull a win. As you can see, it has a 4,600mAh capacity, which is marginally bigger than the 4,500mAh of the Nova 11. Charging speeds are the same as they both come with a 66W wired adapter.
Conclusion

While we appreciate its stereo speakers, the Nova 11 clearly lost this battle to the V27 5G. For the same price of Php24,999, the vivo V27 5G was able to offer more compared to the Huawei Nova 11 thanks to its clever and more premium design, a more powerful processor, 12GB RAM, better camera features, and of course, the fact that it has 5G and runs on Android.
