The Land Transportation Office (LTO) recently had a meeting with Dermalog, a biometrics and security company that helped them create the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) portal.

LTO chief assistant secretary Teofilo Guadiz III said that their meeting with Dermalog was done to help solve the problems of the LTMS portal, discuss improving the user experience and talk about how they can up the business processes and solutions.

One of those proposed solutions is the activation of the Motor Vehicle Registration Information System (MVRIS) on the LTMS portal.

Once implemented, motorists will be able to register their vehicles using the public portal. This will then help ease the long lines in LTO offices for the convenience of the people.

The LTO chief said that they are working with Dermalog to finalize the implementation of the feature in the coming days. That means that the feature may see the feature on the portal in the coming weeks or months.

More than that, the LTMS portal allows Filipinos to book appointments for driver’s licenses and student permits, settle violations, see demerit points, and more.
