Design and Build

Design is subjective, so we’ll let you decide which between the two looks better. Personally, I’m leaning towards the OPPO Find N2 Flip due to its bigger display on the cover that adds to the overall appeal.

However, we gotta hand the win to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 for this round due to its durability. As you can see, it managed to have an IPX8 water-resistant and tough armor aluminum frame.

OPPO, on the other hand, has created a better hinge and seamless crease which is incredibly pleasing to look at. The company also claims that it can last for up to 400,000 folds.

We never thought foldable phones will be extra durable this fast, but Samsung and OPPO were able to pull it off.

Display and Audio

An easy win for OPPO. The Find N2 Flip boasts a larger 6.8-inch display with a brighter 1600 nits of peak brightness. The foldable screen’s crease is also more unnoticeable, which is a big plus.

Possibly the main reason why the OPPO device took this round is its bigger 3.2-inch AMOLED cover screen. Compared to the Z Flip 4, the larger screen means it’s more usable as you can see notifications better or use it as a viewfinder for the rear cameras when taking selfies.

Hardware and Performance

Both the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 offer similar flagship-level performance. So if speed is what you’re after, you can’t go wrong with either of the two. However, we gotta hand the win to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and its Qualcomm chip for this round.

The MediaTek chip performs better in CPU workload while Qualcomm’s processor handles GPU workload and battery efficiency better. Plus, the Samsung device has more storage options (up to 512GB), which is important since neither have microSD card slots for storage expansion.

The OPPO Find N2 Flip and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 have their own strengths and weaknesses in the camera department. The OPPO device has sharper main and selfie cameras and comes with Hasselblad technology.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 boasts an optical image stabilization and have a sharper 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. That said, if camera is what you’re after, you can’t go wrong with either device.

Battery and Charging

Another easy win for the OPPO Find N2 Flip thanks to its 4,300mAh battery, which is obviously larger than the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s 3,700mAh.

In addition, Samsung’s insistence on 25W charging made their foldable lose this round as OPPO’s bet have a faster 44W charging.

Another clear win for the OPPO Find N2 Flip. It has a price of only Php49,999. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 begins at Php58,990 — and that even has a lower configuration.

The OPPO device comes in 8GB/256GB variant, meanwhile, the more expensive Samsung foldable only has 8GB/128GB configuration for its base model.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 clearly has a tougher design and a slightly better performance and hardware. However, we gotta hand the win to the OPPO Find N2 Flip on this one.

OPPO’s foldable offers a larger and more useful cover screen, better main display, bigger battery life, and faster charging — all while achieving a much cheaper price tag.
