Windows 11 26H2 Officially Released to All Eligible Users

Microsoft has moved Windows 11 26H2 from a Release Preview to a full public rollout. Beginning September 29, 2026, any system that meets the standard Windows 11 hardware requirements and is running version 24H2 or 25H2 can receive the new update as an enablement package. The change means the features highlighted in the preview are now widely available without the need for Insider Channel membership.

Who Is Eligible for the 26H2 Update?

Standard Windows 11 Users: Devices operating on version 24H2 or 25H2 that satisfy the baseline hardware criteria automatically qualify for the 26H2 roll‑out.
Windows Insider Program Participants: Members in the Release Preview channel had early access last month and will continue to receive the update through the same channel.
